Been a quiet week as Maryland Basketball is getting started and the Men's and Women's Soccer teams are in the NCAA tournament. Here are bits and pieces of info I read and heard during the week as the Terps finish out their season.
QB Chris Turner (knee) has been ruled out of the Florida State game but he may play against Boston College on November 28th.
But RB Da'Rel Scott (wrist) may return against Florida State. Scott is practicing with a brace that allows motion in his hands. Hopefully he can hold on to the ball well enough to get back in the line up.
Safety Kenny Tate and Punter Travis Baltz, both injured against Virginia Tech are out for the season.
One thing I heard on the Ralph Friedgen radio show last night is that all the injured players are showing up for practice and assisting the coaches and players.
Tackle Tyler Bowen, Cornerback Nolan Carroll, Guard Bennett Fulper have been assisting as well as Tate and Baltz.
That says a lot about the players, who want to contribute and be a part of this team.
The game against Florida State (12:00 Noon) this Saturday will be on television locally. WTTG-TV (Fox 5) in Washington and WJZ-TV (CBS 13) in Baltimore.
