Terps played with heart but in the end they could not finish off Florida State. Maryland had a 26-22 lead and the ball thanks to a Cameron Chism interception with a little over four minutes left. But the Terps could not pick up a first down and were forced to punt with three minutes left in the game. The Seminoles Greg Reid took advantage of the Terps bad punt coverage and ran 48-yards to the Terps 44 yard line giving the Seminoles great field position.
Sure enough. Florida State completed the march down the field and scored the winning TD with :32 left in the game. The Terps fell to 2-9 with this loss and for the first time since 1971, failed to win a game on the road. One game remains at Byrd Stadium Saturday November 29th at 3:30 vs Boston College.
