Post of the Day at Inside Maryland Sports

As a die hard Terps fan I scan a lot of message board sites and saw this post from Terps06 called A thought about tomorrow...

Despite all the swirling rumors about RF's (Head Coach Ralph Friedgen) future and various opinions expressed by Terp fans, I think the coaching staff and players will be focused on trying to close out a very disappointing season on a winning note. Despite the losses and the intense criticism, they haven’t quit.

I hope Terp fans can put aside for one day what will happen after Saturday and give this coaching staff and team (especially the seniors) some love and our full support.

It's not the time to be divisive and negative - there will be plenty of time after the season to express feelings, theories, opinions, and suggestions about what has transpired and what we should do in the future.

It’s time for us to show some class. It’s time for us to be a supportive fan base instead of being constantly critical and divisive.

Its time for us to show some respect and appreciation for our own. No one associated with the football program wanted to lose, make mistakes, or be where we are now. The "plan" failed for a variety of reasons and despite how much it hurts, no one deserves some of the overboard comments that have been expressed here and elsewhere.

I know all of us are frustrated and angry with many aspects of the football program and we want things to get better sooner than later, but maybe - for at least one day - we can put it all aside and try and help this team end the season on a good note.

GO TERPS!!

Amen!
