Maryland was down 17-13 to Duke late in the 4th quarter. As Duke was lining up to punt, the Terps were thinking they a chance to get the winning touchdown. But in a play that sums up how the season has been going for the Terps, Tony Logan fumbled the punt and Duke recovered the ball with less than two minutes to go.
Season over at 2-6 (1-3 ACC) as there isn't a whole lot to play for now except pride. The bye week has arrived and QB Chris Turner summed it up pretty good as he stated he wanted to get as far away from football as possible. Can't really blame him as he's been hammered due to a banged up and inexperienced offensive line.
